I created the design for the springtime ghost tees early March when I was still on a Halloween craze. With Easter on the horizon, I wasn't ready to let go of the idea of having a Halloween-themed design. Instead of fighting this desire, I decided to accept it and take the symbolism of ghosts and offer it a new image. A spring-like image. This idea was unexpected, but absolutely fun to execute because I gave myself the freedom to blend a classic Halloween character with Spring aesthetics.
About midway through March, I had just come home from school for spring break. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, I stayed home for the rest of the semester. I was devastated, given that all of the essential resources for my business were at my apartment in LA. I had hit an all-time low regarding the brand. I had almost lost all hope until I reminded myself that as long as I had a camera, poly-mailers, shipping labels, and most importantly, my ability to draw and design, I was good to go.
I am thankful that I never succumbed to giving up on 1025 because the Springtime Ghost tees turned out to be a huge success. They released on May 29th and sold out in less than a day! The t-shirts will re-stock in early August.
